On this private half-day tour in The Gambia, we will visit a community-run sea turtle conservation project where you can learn about turtle rescue, nesting and the protection of Gunjur’s coastline.

It is a great Gambia tour for wildlife lovers, families and anyone looking for something different from the usual tourist attractions.

Itinerary

I’ll pick you up from your hotel or accommodation and we will drive south to the coastal village of Gunjur.
We will visit the Gunjur Turtle Village, run by local conservationists from CETAG. You will see the turtles and learn about their work protecting sea turtles and nesting sites along the Gambian coast.
Learn how local conservationists monitor nests, protect eggs, care for turtles and help return them safely to the ocean.
You will have time to take photos, ask questions and learn more about wildlife conservation and ecotourism in The Gambia.
If time allows, we can also stop at the nearby Gunjur beach before returning to your accommodation.
